To GOD be all the glory!!!
Since its release, it has flooded the game market especially in the sports category, FIFA releases a new FIFA game every year and basically names them based on the year following its release.
Apart from the game the actual FIFA ( Federation of International Football Association) has managed football for a long time and its current president is Gianni Infantino.
The latest FIFA series of 2019 is FIFA 20 which includes its Standard edition that has the front cover as Eden Hazard in Real Madrid, Champions Edition which has its front cover as Virgil Van Dijk and Ultimate Edition which has Zinedine Zidane as its front cover.
FIFA 20 was very highly anticipated and I believe that it lived up to the hype, it featured many new updates that made the game more and more interesting.
The prices of the FIFA 20 vary based on the edition below are the various prices on most gaming consoles:
- FIFA 20 Standard Edition Ps4, Xbox One and Pc: About $40
- FIFA 20 Champions Edition Ps4, Xbox One and Pc: About $80
- FIFA 20 Ultimate Edition Ps4, Xbox One and Pc: About $100
The major update the game featured is the inclusion of FIFA Volta which is based of the FIFA Street series.
In FIFA Volta, players have the option of playing either three-on-three, four-on-four or five-on-five, this makes a range of different gameplay options available.
FIFA Volta makes use of the official futsal rules, meaning that there is no out but there could be fouls etc.
The reason for the FIFA Volta is for players to focus on their individual skills rather than focusing more on team tactics, the inclusion of FIFA Volta will force players to increase their individual dribbling skills with different players.
FIFA Volta features 17 different locations such as the generic warehouse, the generic parking lot, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Lagos, London, Los Angeles, Mexico city, Miami, New York City, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Rome and Tokyo.
Each of these locations provide a different playing experience and they are all really fun.
FIFA 20 also features a new Volta storyline that is taking over from The Journey that started in FIFA 17 and ended in FIFA 19.
In the FIFA Volta storyline, players get to use their own characters instead of characters generated by the game, which is really an improvement and will test players creativity.
Two new game modes were added to the Kick-Off and Ultimate Team mods of the game and they are: King Of the Hill and Mystery Ball.
In King of the Hill, players fight for possession in a randomly generated area of the pitch to increase the value of the next goal scored, it is basically a test of each player's ability to hold onto the ball.
In Mystery Ball the attacking side is randomly given boosts to speed, dribbling, passing, shooting or all attributes making the game very unpredictable.
The Career mode was also majorly updated as now in the Manager Career, press conferences are now fully interactive and players' morale affects their individual or even team stats, giving the manager a good reason to keep all the players happy, now the manger's look is now fully customisable including the gender and appearance, league oriented User Interface, live news screenshots, new negotiation environments and a new dynamic player potential system were also added, to increase the reality of the game.
The game also featured some minor updates such as updated ball physics, a new penalty and free-kick mechanism.
The commentary is still handled by Martin Tyler and Alan Smith alternating with Derek Rae and Lee Dixon and of course, in-game score updates are provided by Alan Mclnally.
The FIFA 20 Ultimate Team features 88 iconic players, featuring 15 new names like Carlos Alberto, John Barnes, Kenny Dalglish, Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Garrincha, Pep Guardiola, Kaka, Ronald Koeman, Andrea Pirlo, Ian Rush, Hugo Sanchez, Ian Wright, Gianluca Zambrotta and Zinedine Zidane.
The game features 30 official leagues, over 700 clubs and over 17, 000 players, meaning that there are a lot of games to go through before you could truly say that you know the game.
The game was released through EA Access subscription on 24th September 2019 which also offered a free 10 hour trial.
Although the FIFA 20 was released on the Nintendo Switch, it will not have access to all the features that the Ps4, Xbox and Pc have access to such as FIFA Volta, so the Legacy Edition was released on the Nintendo Switch which has updated rosters, kits and other minor updates but not the FIFA Volta, so I suggest that those with FIFA 20 on their Ps4 or Xbox or Pc should just stick with it and not spring for the Nintendo Switch Legacy Edition because it is not worth it.
FIFA 20 was not released on the Ps3 or Xbox 360, making FIFA 19 the last FIFA game on those consoles, although it is sad, it was expected.
