Marvel's Spider-Man - Does It Deserve Game Of The Year?

Marvel's Spider-Man is only on the Ps4 and not on any other gaming console or mobile device, although it is only on the Ps4 it was still voted game of the year by Japanese Developers.
The game supports 8K gaming effectively, it may even be ahead of its time as some of the graphics used in game are too high definition for even the Ps4 pro to get all the features right.
Well let's get into the game play, you start off as Peter Parker who wakes up and is faced by all the challenges and pressure of life, he even doesn't pay his apartment rent.
The first major battle fought is against King Pin, and Yuri Watanabe is Spider-Man's greatest accomplice when it comes to fighting crime.
After King Pin is defeated, he is arrested and taken to jail, charged with numerous crimes but his men still roam at large.
In the Marvel's Spider-Man game, Peter works mostly at a shelter called F.E.A.S.T with Aunt May, but the shelter is owned by a man called Martin Li, who seemed good at first but is really an evil criminal nicknamed Mister Negative by the Press.
Peter also works with Dr Otto Octavius, and together, they work to help victims of amputation all over the world, by establishing mechanical body parts connected by Neuro-Links.
Little did Peter know that Octavius himself had a rare disease that was making his limbs to function less day by day and that he needed them to finish their work for his own good.
In the game Norman Osborne is running for a second tenure as Mayor but Octavius is really against his success because of the beef that they had in the past.
Peter really didn't understand what caused the beef until Otto explained to him that him and Osborne founded Oscorpe together but then Norman stole Otto's work and then fired him, this made Otto to work in the low standard place that they found themselves at the time.
Peter fought one of his old enemies shocker who attacked innocent people, he only did this because he was sent by Martin Li who has the power to corrupt people and make them do things that they normally wouldn't, this battle was considerably easy and Peter was able to find out that Shocker didn't attack the people on his own free will.
After Shocker was defeated, he was taken into police custody and quickly escaped, to go and rob the bank.
The bank battle was the main boss battle against Shocker, this battle was relatively harder than the previous battle against Shocker which was really more a chase than an actual battle.
After the first battle against Shocker, Peter finds about the demons who were the people that Martin Li had corrupted already and did all his bidding.
Mary Jane, Peter's friend that knows about his double life, inquired about the demons and Peter went to ask Martin if he knew anything about them, Martin had a very stern response and warned him to stay out of it.
After the Peter's first fight with the demons, him and MJ went snooping around and fought out about the demon's mask and that there was going to be an auction of the mask at an art gallery.
MJ went on a further snooping mission and received a document containing details about a chemical called devil's breath which was a sort of biological weapon.
After this Spider-Man went on a mission on an old abandoned Fisk construction site with an officer Jefferson Davis, where they found a lot of Fisk weapons which were hidden in crates.
Davis did a really heroic act and so because of that was meant to receive a medal of honour by Osborne.
Some days later Peter went snooping in a secret part of Li's office where he saw a copy of the same document and then got suspicions about Li, he snooped until Li caught him in the office and warned him to stay out his business.
Peter slept at F.E.A.S.T and the next day Li told him and Aunt may that he would be going on a business trip, this was a lie as Li planned to go and bomb the award ceremony.
During the award ceremony multiple demons went on to suicide bomb the event but Li himself was not part of the suicide bombers, he only sent them.
The bomb blasts resulted in officer Davis' death, his son Miles Morales and wife mourned him.
During the bomb blast is when players first get to use Miles Morales who is a compulsory part of the game.
Miles would be used a lot in the game as well as MJ for many stealth missions and extraction missions.
Dr Octavius and Peter were kicked out of their work space by mayor Osborne who told them that they had not paid a valid rent.
Octavius' body continued to decay as he had less control of his limbs, he really needed an effective neuro-link to be established.
Octavius had a break through with his work and found an effective neuro-link to limbs that looked like the Marvel Octopus arms.
This arms although were effective messed with his brain and made him to think about and do evil things.
Peter warned him about what the arms were doing to him but Otto didn't want to listen because he was so happy that he could have found a remedy for his situation.
Meanwhile Martin Li had planned to spread the devil's breath virus at a Norman Osborne event this plan was thwarted by MJ and Peter.
Martin Li ended up being defeated by Spider-Man and he was arrested and taken to the R.A.F.T a detention center for the most dangerous criminals.
During this mission MJ found out that Harry Osborne was sick, that was why he was not found in the plot of the game.
She snooped around in Norman's office and found out a place where he carried out a lot of experiments, while she was there she accidentally broke a container for an experimental spider.
The spider climbed her and she took it with her to F.E.A.S.T, the spider got off at F.E.A.S.T and climbed Miles who started working at F.E.A.S.T due to his father's death.
The devil's breath ended up being sprayed by Dr Octavius and it infected a lot of people and aunt May was part of the people infected.
The spider that climbed Miles ended up biting him and he did not notice anything yet.
Dr Octavius freed all the most dangerous criminals and they formed a league called the sinister six by the Marvel universe, this team beat up Spider-Man when he first faced them.
Later Spider-Man fought each of them one by one until it was only Octavius that remained.
The fight against Octavius was the final boss battle and after this, Spider-Man got the cure for the devil's breath.
They administered the cure to all that were infected at the new F.E.A.S.T owned by aunt May who was also infected and laid on a hospital bed.
Peter had the choice to either only use the cure on aunt May who was about to die or save the tonnes of other people who were infected.
He made the right decision and then aunt May died, but before she died she admitted to Spider-Man that she knew he was Peter all along.
At the last scene, Miles told Peter about the changes he was experiencing and jumped and attached himself to the ceiling, Peter exposed his own abilities to Miles.
The game has a lot of DLC's and side missions once the main story line is finished so there is plenty to do once you finish the main story.
The game is really nice and I know why it was voted game of the year by the Japanese Developers.
I highly recommend the game for everyone, it is not too long to complete the story line.
