To GOD be all the glory!!!
Nintendo is a company that was established on 23rd September 1889 in Kyoto Japan by Fusajiro Yamauchi.
Today Nintendo is well known worldwide, although it is known for many reasons, one of the major reasons that it is known worldwide is for the Super Mario franchise.
Super Mario is like the ambassadorial game of Nintendo because when most people hear Nintendo, the first thing that comes to their minds is Super Mario Bros.
The current CEO of Nintendo is Shuntaro Furukawa and under his management, the company has achieved a lot.
Apart from the Nintendo Switch that the post is mainly about, Nintendo is also responsible for some other consoles and gaming devices that I think are worth checking out, for example the Wii, the Wii U and the Nintendo Ds series.
Nintendo is more of a child friendly type of console although it is used and should be used by all ages.
To operate a console like the Wii, there needs to be a lot of physical activity so I personally recommend Wii for people who are working out.
The Nintendo Switch was released on 3rd March 2017 and brought an entirely new feature to game consoles.
This feature was its portability, the Nintendo Switch managed to achieve that level of portability that the console can be easily packed to travel and you can switch from your television view to a tablet view almost instantly.
The only down side of the console's portability is the fact that the console no more uses controllers but uses joy pads called Joy-Con controllers, joy pads are a very tiny console controller that feature only one joystick and a few buttons.
Although the console has a controller like attachment that allows two joy pads to temporarily join together to form an actual controller, the controller formed is not comfortable to use for most players who have already adapted to the normal controller as seen in the Ps4 and the Xbox.
The fact that the Nintendo Switch controllers do not have the look and features of regular game controllers limit its compatibility with most games that already have been releasedon the Xbox and the Ps4.
Games like FIFA 20 did not feature all the upadtaes featured in the Xbox and Ps4 in the Nintendo Switch, for example the main update FIFA Volta is not included in the Nintendo Switch.
When you buy a Nintendo Switch, it comes with the Nintendo Switch Dock which is like the central Hub of the Nintendo Switch, this Hub is what makes the Nintendo Switch have its easy transferability between the television screen and the tablet screen.
The tablet screen of the Nintendo Switch is a touch screen and the tablet has an accelerometer, gyroscope and a brightness sensor.
The tablet comes with an internal storage of 32GB which is expandable by the user to up to 2TB with the use of a microSDHC or a microSDXC.
The console uses the iconic Nintendo game cards, these game cards are not like CD's but are chips which are slotted in to play the games.
The console has a resolution of 1080p via the HDMI of the TV and 720p built in the tablet's screen, this means that in tablet mode, the picture quality is not so clear compared to most phones of today such as the Iphone XS and the Samsung Galaxy S10.
The battery will last from 2.5 hours to 6.5 hours depending on the game being played just like any regular tablet, the tablet uses a Lithium-ion battery which is relatively very powerful with 4310mAh.
It takes approximately 3 hours to charge when the hardware is in sleep mode, which is actually not that bad considering that fact that is a gaming console.
The Nintendo Switch Lite was also released on 3rd March 2017 and is basically a less powerful version of the Nintendo Switch hence the name Nintendo Switch Lite.
The Nintendo Switch costs about $300 which is pretty reasonable considering its overall performance and power.
The Nintendo Switch Lite costs about $200, so it costs $100 less than the actual Nintendo Switch.
